Vajramusti Physiotherapy
Vajramusti massage is a gentle soothing technique using talc as a lubricant. In vajramusti there are there main types of touch ie.
- No touch the hand moves just over the body such that a little heat may be felt.
- Feather touch where the pressure is like that of being stroked with a feather.
- Gentle touch where the body is stroked, the talc allowing the touch to be lighter and more gentle than that using oils.
In vajramusti a kinesthetic trance is formed allowing the muscles to ease out gently and naturally without the application of force.
Vajramusti physiotherapy has its origins in the Vajramusti or diamond fist martial art performed by the jeti boxers found in traditional South Indian palaces.
A vajramusti massage lasts around 1 hour.
